PARENTING WITH PURPOSE
Parenting is rewarding and challenging. Parenting with Purpose is a weekly session for parents/caregivers to engage in how to more effectively communicate with this generation of youth. Parents/caregivers will learn from experts about their children’s rights at school and how to keep children mentally and physically healthy. It will also be a space where parents can receive support from one another, additional resources, and learn to use their parent powers for their children and family.
Parenting with Purpose is a FREE program that will be held both virtually via Zoom and in person at the Excellence and Advancement Foundation (located on Huston-Tillotson University’s campus) every Saturday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM for the school year. A complete schedule for this program will be provided to you at your first session. You will be contacted by a member of our team shortly after registering for this program to receive more details about the first session.

There will be a Spanish translator at each session. Food will be provided at each in-person session. Parents/caregivers can bring their 6th-12th grade age children to in-person sessions to participate in the Wrap-Up, which takes place from 10:00-11:00 AM. EAF staff and volunteers will provide tutoring and activities for children from 11:00-12:00 PM when in person.
